JULIE SCHENKELBERG

SELECTED CURRICULUM VITAE

Julie Schenkelberg is a Cleveland-based artist whose sculpture and site-specific installations transform architectural remnants, industrial materials, and domestic objects into immersive environments. Alongside her studio practice, she worked for 18 years as a professional scenic painter for theater and has taught art and sculpture for more than two decades. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Mattress Factory, Museum of Arts and Design, and Asya Geisberg Gallery. She is an Efroymson Contemporary Arts Fellow, a recipient of a Harpo Foundation Grant, and a former resident of Yaddo, Art Omi, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, and Red Bull Arts Detroit.
