Taking a record of bygone industrial years and forgotten splendor. It is akin to the long history of archaeology in Italy, but our abbreviated Rust Belt history. There are castings taken from historical cemeteries in Cleveland, abandoned buildings, carving reliefs from mansions from a bygone era, in addition to rose bush thorns, snail shells, crystals and vintage wedding lace, It is like a visual Victorian poem. Other castings are specific to the artists family, dishware, spoons, teapots, various furniture and casting forms of the artists travel worldwide. I see this as an archaeological record creatinga language in images and a record of past times, places, memories.
